COUNTRY Music & nostalgia

Hello and welcome to my world and my web site which I hope you will find useful particularly if you are looking for an ageing singer who has been lucky enough to follow a dream.

Lifes changing circumstances eventually allowed me to become a full time singer/ entertainer and on January 15th 2005 I finally took the plunge into self employment. I have not taken a backward glance since.

Deciding what songs to sing was easy. Memories!!!

The more I remembered the more it became so obvious that county music has been a big influence on my life. I was born a country boy living on the Northamptonshire/Warwickshire borders until I was in my teens. The sounds of of country legends such as Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash and many others were often heard coming from our wireless. When I first heard Country Roads, I thought they were MY country roads and The Old Oak Tree that looked the same I saw as MY oak tree especially as I could see a big oak as I stepped off the train which in those pre Beeching days ran through our tiny hamlet.

Even today I live the songs I sing as I am still "A COUNTRY BOY BORN AND BRED".

Over the last four years I have been lucky enough to play in a variety of venues including Hotels, pubs, clubs, pubs , a chapel, a variety of church halls, caravan sites, showgrounds, market squares, country music clubs, a barn converted to a theatre and even some folks back gardens on gorgeous summer evenings.

I take non of this for granted as what better can a man wish for than to do what he loves best and get paid for it.
